Dating Tips: Waiting for Sex

Today, I was watching one of the YouTube channels I subscribed to, called Taren916. While browsing, through her vids I found one that really catch my interest. Her video was interviewing two males, asking their perspective on dating. One topic I thought was worth blogging about: the dating rule that you should wait for sex or a man won't respect you. The guys in the video commented with answers similar to "I want a women who goes for what she wants but not a h**".  So, how long do we wait before we decide to get intimate with our partner?
Personally, I don't feel that there has to be a certain set time for everybody to wait to have sex with someone. I do think, that using Joan's, from the T.V. show Girlfriends, "90 day Rule" isn't such a bright idea. You might have waited to have sex with him for 90 days and he waited for you, but I'm sure he was getting his from somebody else. Also, If you recall Joan didn't know how to keep a man. So let's not follow her advice on love.

I do believe that you should know the person you are sexually involved with, but using some made up rule about dating with a real live person is not something I would advise (seeing something in a book or movie is not the same). The best way to go about deciding whether or not to have sex with the person your dating is to know what you want, know what they want and be rational with both. If you’re not on the same page then maybe sex is not where you want to go. For example: If you have been friends with a guy, since you can remember, and you both feel it is time to make the relationship more intimate using the "90 day rule “wouldn’t fit that circumstance. You both would have already gotten pasted getting to know each other and that is the whole point of that rule. Not to mention, this will most likely be the man you spend the rest of your life with. Since, there is not better lover than a friend.
All and all, waiting for sex is in the hands of the individual. Situations do cause different answers to whether one should wait or not. With saying that, I feel that there are not set rules when it comes to dating and when sex should be involved.  I, though experience, have learned that a man will show you how he feels about a woman, if they waited a day, week or year to be sexually involved.  If you know your worth then he has no choice but to get with it or get lost...
